His Excellency President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), witnessed on Sunday morning the military parade held by the command of the Southern Armed Forces in celebration of the 58th National Independence Day, 30 November, at the Parade Square in the capital, Aden.
At the beginning of the parade, which commenced with the National Anthem of South Arabia, President Al-Zubaidi delivered a military salute to the participating military and security units, marking the start of the grand parade, which embodied the high level of readiness, combat discipline, and professionalism of the Southern Armed Forces, reflecting the development they have achieved in structure, organisation, military conduct, and discipline.
The military parade was attended by high-ranking STC officials and military leaders, including the Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the STC Presidium, Mr. Abdulrahman Shaher, the Minister of Defence, Major General Mohsen Al-Daari, STC Presidium Member and Head of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission supporting the PLC, Mr. Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, Major General Haitham Qassem, a member of STC Presidium and Chairman of the Supreme Military and Security Committee, Major General Saleh Ali Hassan, Head of Joint Operations, Major General Ali Al-Beeshi, Commander of the Southern Land Forces, along with a number of members of the STC Presidium, ministers in the government, military and security commanders, STC heads, and state institution officials.
