President Al-Zubaidi Attends Capital Aden Cup Final and Crowns Al-Wehda Champions
His Excellency President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), attended on Saturday evening the final of the Aden Capital Cup football tournament.
The match between Al-Jala'a and Al-Wehda clubs took place as the people of South Arabia are celebrating the 58th anniversary of the National Independence Day on 30 November.
The match, held at the Al-Hubaishi Stadium in the Crater district, was concluded with Al-Wehda club victory with a 2-0 win over Al-Jala'a, securing the championship title, and they were crowned champions of the tournament.
Following the final whistle, President Al-Zubaidi personally presented the trophy to the captain of the Al-Wehda team and congratulated the team's management and players on their sporting achievement and praised the high standard of performance demonstrated by both teams during the match.
