President Al-Zubaidi Meets with World Economic Forum's Middle East Director
President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met on Tuesday evening with Ms. Kelsey Goodman, Director of Middle East Initiatives at the World Economic Forum (WEF).
At the beginning of the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi welcomed initiatives led by the WEF aimed at promoting sustainable development in the region and reiterated the Council's commitment to creating an attractive investment environment.
The meeting explored ways to mobilize private sector capital to bolster sustainability in the Middle East and North Africa, both structurally and economically, to support development projects and address pressing economic challenges.
The two sides also discussed clean energy projects in the capital, Aden, and the Shabwa governorate, backed by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and efforts to increase foreign investment to positively boost economic stability and advance sustainable development in the country.
