President Al-Zubaidi Reviews State Land Authority Efforts and Highlights Urgency of Completing Administrative, Legal, and Technical Reforms

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met on Monday at his office in the capital, Aden, with Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, Chairman of the General Authority for Land and State Properties.

During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi reviewed the authority’s operational progress across branches in governorates and efforts to streamline its headquarters and branches and strengthen the authority’s role in documenting and registering state lands and properties while preventing encroachments.

The president received a detailed briefing on ongoing administrative, legal, technical, and financial reforms within the authority and its branches and measures to address systemic challenges—including violations of state lands and government city planning—through coordination with relevant judicial bodies.

President Al-Zubaidi underscored the critical responsibility of the authority’s leadership in safeguarding public property in full compliance with regulatory investment‑contract procedures and mandated prompt implementation of all oversight recommendations and outcomes from the consultative meeting of the authority and its branches to promote the principles of integrity, transparency, and anti-corruption.
