Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), attended on Thursday morning a grand military parade in Riyan by symbolic troops of soldiers, officers, and non-commissioned officers from the Second Military Region (SMR) and Hadhrami Elite Forces (HEFs), commemorating the ninth anniversary of the liberation of Hadhramaut’s Coast from terrorist groups.
Major General Ben Brik lauded the military discipline and well-organized parade, which was attended by Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri, chairman of the National Assembly of the STC; Major General Taleb Bargash, commander of the SMR; Major General Mote'a al-Manhali, director general of security and police in the Coast of Hadramaut; and a number of military commanders and prominent political figures.
At the end of the military parade, the commander of the SMR handed over a commemorative shield to Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik for his pivotal role in the battle of liberation of the cities of the Coast and his contributions to building the HEFs, in addition to handing over a number of honorary shields to those who participated in the battle of liberating the Hadramaut Coast from terrorist control.
