President Al-Zubaidi Chairs Expanded Meeting of Military and Security Commanders Marking 10th Anniversary of SBF Establishment
President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), has virtually chaired an expanded meeting of military and security commanders on Monday to mark the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Security Belt Force (SBF).
During the meeting attended by Major General Haitham Qassem Tahir, a member of the STC's Presidium and head of the Supreme Security and Military Committee, Major General Ali Al-Bishi, commander of the Southern Land Forces, Major General Saleh Ali Hassan, head of the Joint Operations, Major General Fadhl Ba'esh, commander of the Special Forces, and Major General Mutahr Al-Shu'aibi, director of security of the capital, Aden, President Al-Zubaidi commended the pivotal role of the SBF in bolstering security and stability in the South, highlighting their tireless efforts in combating terrorism and groups operating outside the law.
President Al-Zubaidi underscored the remarkable achievements that have been made by the military forces and security services of the South, with the immense and ultimate sacrifices of their personnel, necessitating continued efforts to strengthen the preparedness of these forces and advance their capabilities to meet the ongoing security challenges and safeguard the hard-won gains that have been achieved.
President Al-Zubaidi emphasized the critical need to uphold national fundamentals and carry out assigned tasks with a sense of responsibility and commitment, reaffirming that the SBF is a cornerstone in defending the security of the South, underscoring their key role in maintaining stability and safeguarding the region.
The meeting was attended by two members of the STC's Presidium, Mr. Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, Head of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission (CRC) supporting the PLC, Mr. Amr Al-Beidh, Special Representative of the President of the STC for Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Imad Mohammed, director of the office of the Vice President of the PLC.
