Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, met on Monday at the headquarters of the Assembly with Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Bamaqa, Secretary-General of the Southern National Coalition.
The meeting, which was attended by lawyer Niran Souqi, head of the Humanitarian Aid and Relief Commission (HARC) assisting the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), discussed the latest developments in the Southern scene in light of the ongoing local and regional developments and their repercussions on the peace process in the region.
The meeting touched on the economic crisis resulting from the sharp deterioration of local currency and the impact of this decline on the living situation of citizens in the South.
The Acting President of the STC stressed the importance of joint coordination and concerted efforts to strengthen the cohesiveness of the Southerners to achieve the aspirations of the people of the South.
