President Al-Zubaidi Assigns Deputy, BG Al-Muharrami, to Oversee Security and Counterterrorism

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, issued on Thursday a decree assigning his deputy, Brigadier General Abdul Rahman Al-Muharrami (Abu Zaraa), to oversee the security and counter-terrorism responsibilities.

Under this assignment, Brigadier General Al-Muharrami shall have full authority to oversee the performance of the security services and counter-terrorism, in addition to restructuring and reorganizing them in a way that contributes to enhancing security and stability across all the governorates of the South.

The final article of the decree stipulates to be enforced from the date of its issuance; any prior decree that contradicts its provisions shall be considered nil and void and to be published in the official gazette of the STC.
