President Al-Zubaidi Highlights Critical Role of Youth in Shaping Future of the South and Building Its State

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), underlined the critical role of youth in shaping the future of the South and laying the foundations for its aspired state.

This came during his meeting on Thursday evening with the directors of youth and sports administrations in the Local Leadership Executive Bodies (LLEBs) of the STC in all governorates of the South, in the presence of a member of the STC's Presidium, Acting Secretary-General Major General Kamal Hamshari, and Head of the Youth and Sports Department in the General Secretariat, Al-Kuraihi Kanaan.

President Al-Zubidi expressed his happiness at meeting the youth leaders in the governorates, stressing that the STC relies on young people as a promising force capable of driving positive change and contributing effectively to reconstruction and development efforts in all governorates of the South.

President Al-Zubaidi underscored the critical role of youth empowerment, building up their capacities, equipping them with the required skills, polishing up their talents and abilities to excel in various fields, and highlighting the paramount significance of sports activities in fostering noble values among youth, enhancing their skills, and safeguarding them from extreme ideologies and alien scourges on our society.

President Al-Zubaidi engaged with the attendees, listening to their concerns and aspirations for youth across the governorates of the South, reiterating in this regard his strong support and backing for young people and his keenness to empower them in various fields, noting in the context the great responsibility that lies on the shoulders of the youth leaders in the STC in the governorates to implement plans, programs, and sports and youth activities in the governorates and districts in coordination with the youth and sports offices.

In turn, the attendees at the meeting expressed their gratitude and appreciation for President Al-Zubaidi's keen interest in young people and athletes, as well as his ongoing support for organizing sports activities, training programs, and qualification initiatives that aim to enhance the capabilities of young people and polish up their skills in various fields, affirming their readiness to exert their utmost efforts and collaborate with this vital segment of society, harnessing all energies to serve the people of the South and their just cause.
