President Al-Zubaidi Gets Briefed on Mayyun Island Situation

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met on Saturday at his office in the capital, Aden, with Sheikh Saleh Ali Khazour, Sheikh of Mayyun Island (Perim).

President Al-Zubaidi listened to a comprehensive briefing from Sheikh Khazour on the general conditions of the island's residents, the level of progress in development projects being implemented on the island, and the efforts being made by the headship of the island in coordination with the local authority in Al-Mu'alla District and the capital, Aden, to improve service and humanitarian conditions, affirming his support for these efforts and vowing to provide all required assistance for the benefit of the common good of the people of the island.

Sheikh Khazour expressed his gratitude and appreciation to President Al-Zubaidi for the great attention his excellency pays to Mayyun Island and the conditions of its residents, praising the immense efforts in supporting infrastructure projects on the island and his continued follow-up on the generous relief campaign provided by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the brotherly United Arab Emirates (UAE), to the people of the island during the past Ramadan.
