President Al-Zubaidi Reviews Progress of Work in the 2nd Military Region and Personnel Readiness
President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met on Saturday evening with Major General Talib Saeed Bargash, Commander of the Second Military Region.
President Al-Zubaidi welcomed Major General Barajash's visit to the capital, Aden, and listened to a briefing on the military situation in Hadramaut Coast, the progress of work in the Second Region Command, the axes and units affiliated with it, the readiness of its personnel in their deployment locations on land and sea, and the efforts being made to raise the efficiency of the region's officers and personnel and enhance their capabilities and readiness.
During the meeting, which was attended by members of the STC's Presidium: Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri, Chairman of the National Assembly, Major General Kamal Hamashri, Director of the Office of the President of the STC, and Mr. Fadi Hassan Baoum, President Al-Zubaidi was also briefed by Major General Bargash on the security achievements made by the military units and security services in combating terrorist elements, curbing all smuggling, and preventing any attempts that may destabilize the public peace of citizens.
President Al-Zubaidi praised the great efforts made by the personnel of the Second Region in maintaining security and stability in Hadramaut Coast and all areas within the scope of their deployment, pointing out that these efforts are an extension of the great victories fulfilled by the heroic Hadrami Elite Forces (HEF) on April 24, 2016, in repelling the remnants of the terrorist organization AQAP from Hadramaut Coast with the support and backing of our official brothers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
President Al-Zubaidi noted that the personnel of the Second Military Region have today become a model of readiness and military discipline, affirming his readiness to provide all forms of support and assistance to the region's command in internal and external training and qualifying to enhance the capabilities of its personnel in various military aspects.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier General Ahmed Hassan, Head of the Security Department of the STC, and Brigadier General Abduldaem Al-Shuaibi, Commander of the Barashid Brigade in the Second Military Region.
