President Al-Zubaidi Meets with Local Authority and LLEB Leadership in Al-Dhalea Governorate


President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met on Monday evening with the leadership of the local authority in Al-Dhalea Governorate, headed by the Governor, Major General Ali Muqbil Saleh, and the Local Leadership Executive Body (LLEB) of the STC in the Governorate, headed by Brigadier General Abdullah Mahdi Saeed, and a number of military and security leaders in the governorate.

At the beginning of the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi welcomed the leadership of Al-Dhalea Governorate, congratulating them on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan and expressing his pleasure at meeting with them to be briefed on the overall situation in the governorate.

President Al-Zubaidi listened to Governor Muqbil and the head of the LLEB in Al Dhalea about the latest developments in the governorate, including the military and security situation, and the efforts exerted by the local authority and the LLEB of the STC to improve the humanitarian situation and maintain security and stability in the governorate.

President Al-Zubaidi highlighted the importance of redoubling efforts and working in a team spirit to improve the public conditions in the governorate and establish stability there. In this context, his excellency lauded the cohesiveness, harmony, and unity of leadership on the Al-Dhalea front, as well as the high morale enjoyed by the heroes picketed on the entire frontlines.

Furthermore, President Al-Zubaidi touched on the unilateral measures taken by the Houthi militias recently in an attempt to open the road from one side, reiterating his support for efforts to bring about peace, especially the opening of roads as per agreed-upon controls and mechanisms. In this regard, President Al-Zubaidi directed the local authority and the leadership of LLEB in Al-Dhale Governorate to develop a comprehensive plan to open roads in the governorate in accordance with the ceasefire procedures included in the UN roadmap and in response to humanitarian needs on the occasion of the blessed month.

In turn, President Al-Zubaidi listened to the heads and directors of the executive offices and administrations in the local authority and the LLEB of the governorate, who gave a number of interventions during which they reviewed all the challenges they face in performing their duties and the procedures required to address them, most notably the scarcity of resources and the absence of government support for the governorate, which is still living in a state of war with the Houthi militias. 

In this respect, the political, military, and security leaders expressed their thanks and gratitude for the great efforts exerted by President Al-Zubaidi to support the local authority and the military and security forces in the governorate.

The meeting was attended by a number of senior officials and leaders like the Secretary-General of the Presidiun of the STC, Fadhl Al-Gaadi, the lawyer Yahya Ghaleb, a member of the STC's Presidium, the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Da'ari, the Minister of Transport, Dr. Abdul Salam Hamid, the head of the Counter-Terrorism Service, Major General Shalal Ali Shaye'a, and the head of the Political Commission assisting the Presidium of the STC,  head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit of the STC, Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Haj, Head of the STC’s Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Authority, and the Ground Forces Staff, Brigadier General Osan Al-Anshli.
