President Al-Zubaidi Gets Briefed on Health Facilities Status in the capital, Aden, and Lahj Governorate


President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), was briefed on the health conditions in the capital, Aden, and Lahj Governorate.

This came during his meeting today with the Directors of the Health Office in the capital, Aden, and Lahj Governorate, Dr. Ahmed Al-Bishi, and Dr. Khaled Mohammad Jaber, where the President listened to a comprehensive explanation of the workflow in health facilities and government hospitals and the level of medical service provided to citizens, in addition to the range of difficulties faced by the work of health in both the capital, Aden, and Lahj, with a focus on insufficient operational budgets, staff shortages, and dilapidated infrastructure.

The President stressed the importance of intensifying efforts and coordinating with the relevant authorities in the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation to direct part of the support provided by the concerned international organizations to the government hospitals and health complexes to improve the quality of medical service for patients.

The President also highlighted the role of health offices at the level of governorates and districts, assuming their supervisory and oversight responsibilities over the work of health facilities, and not being lenient with any staff or facility that fails to perform its duties to ensure the provision of the highest level of service to citizens.
