STC President Issues Decree No. 19 of 2024 on Forming the Supreme Committee for National Events and Celebrations


President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zoubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), issued on Saturday decree No. 19 of 2024, regarding the formation of the Supreme Committee for National Events and Celebrations of the STC.

The decree included the following articles:

Article (1): The Supreme Committee for National Events and Celebrations of the STC shall be formed as follows:

- Zaid Ahmed Mohammad Nasser, Head of the Committee.
- Bassam Qassem Mohammad Ahmed, Member (Director of Department of Public Relations in the Office of the President).

- Abdullah Saleh Muqbil Muthanna, Member (Director of the Financial and Administrative Affairs Office).
- Mohammad Mahmoud Ali Hassan, Member (Director of Department of Protocols in the Office of the President).
- Abdul-Qawi Ahmed Hussein Al-Maflhi, Member (representing the National Assembly).
- Ahmed Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al-Abadi, Member (Representing the Council of Advisors).
- Amr Mohammad Aqeel Mohammad, Member (representing the General Secretariat).
- Wahib Hassan Hussein Ali, Member (representing the Political Commission).
- Abdul Qader Mohsen Hussein Al-Issaei, Member (Representing the National Southern Media Authority).
-  Dr. Najib Qayid Farea Saleh, Member (Representing the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs).
- Ahmed Qassem Mohsen Ahmed, Member (representing the Security Department).

Article (2): The Supreme Committee for National Events and Celebrations shall undertake the following tasks:
- Proposing events for the central and public bodies required to be held for the STC in general and the governorates.

- Arranging for the convening of the central events and celebrations organized by the STC in the capital, Aden.

- Evaluating the holding of central and local activities implemented in the governorates and proposing what is required to address any obstacles that accompanied the work of its committees.

Article (3): This decree is stipulated to be enforced from the date of its issuance; any prior decree that contradicts its provisions shall be considered nil and void and to be published in the official gazette of the STC.
