President Al-Zubaidi Issues Decree No. 18 of 2024 on Appointing Bloc Heads of Governorates in the Assembly

The President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) issued on Tuesday Decree No. 18 for the year 2024 regarding the appointments of bloc heads of the governorates in the National Assembly.

The decree includes the following articles:

Article (1): Members of the National Assembly mentioned hereby shall be appointed bloc heads of the governorates as indicated next to the name of each person:

1. Jawad Hassan Hussein Makkawi, Aden
2. Hassan Ali Abdullah Basmir, Hadramaut Al-Sahel
3. Talib Abdullah Omar Bagri, Hadhramaut Al-Wadi
4. Ali Mohammad Saleh Al-Bakri, Lahj
5. Khaled Omar Abdullah Al-Abd, Abyan
6. Naji Saleh Fuhaid Al Harithi, Shabwa
7. Issa Ahmed Saeed Raafit, Almahra
8. Abdo Saleh Al-Maatari, Al-Dhalea
9. Nazim Mubarak Ali bin Qablan, Socotra Archipelago

Article (2): Members of the Assembly who are appointed as bloc heads of governorates shall be considered members of the administrative body in the National Assembly as per the provisions of the Assembly’s internal regulations herein, and each of them has the rights and duties of its members.

Article (3): The heads of blocs in the governorates shall exercise their duties and jurisdictions under the direct supervision of the chairman of the Assembly, and they shall be held responsible and accountable for dereliction of duties, failure, or underperformance.

Article (4): This decree is stipulated to be enforced from the date of its issuance and to be published in the official gazette of the STC.
