President Al-Zubaidi Chairs Expanded Meeting with Leaders of Southern Military and Security Units
President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), chaired on Saturday an expanded meeting of the leaders of the southern military and security units.
In the meeting, which was attended by Major General Haitham Qassem Taher, member of the STC's Presidium and Chairman of the Supreme Military and Security Committee, Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, head of the Auxiliary Political Commission, Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, Mr. Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, head of the National Southern Media Authority (NSMA), Major General Shalal Ali Shaye'a, Head of the Counter-Terrorism Authority, and Major General Saleh Ali Hassan, Chief Joint Operations Staff.
President Al-Zubaidi commended the physical ultimate sacrifices made by the heroes of our armed and security forces in the fields of honor and heroism, expressing his pride in the heroism of our armed forces on the fronts against the Houthi militias and their equal victories in the war against terrorism.
Likewise, the President highlighted the importance of strengthening strict discipline in performing military and security tasks, redoubling efforts in the fields of qualification and training, maintaining high readiness and vigilance, and enhancing the level of coordination between security and military units in carrying out tasks.
Furthermore, Major General Haitham Qassem Taher then gave a briefing that included the most prominent achievements of the Supreme Military and Security Committee within the framework of the assigned tasks regarding rearranging and reorganizing the armed and security forces, improving their performance, and developing their structures as per modern and contemporary scientific foundations.
In addition to that, Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji briefed the attendees on the latest developments in the political situation at the local and regional levels, at the forefront of which are developments related to the political process and the dangerous repercussions of the Houthi escalation in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb Strait, and the Gulf of Aden.
In a separate context, Major General Saleh Ali Hassan, Chief Joint Operations Staff, provided a detailed explanation of the efforts exerted to improve the institutional building of the Southern Armed Forces and Security Service and to strengthen command, control, discipline, and military coordination in various units.
At the end of the meeting, the head of NSMA, Mr. Salem Al-Awlaqi, briefed the leaders of the military and security units on the orientations related to military and security media in accordance with the directives of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, calling on the unit leaders to adhere to the mechanisms of military and security media work through the unified media window of the Media Center of the Southern Armed Forces, namely the "South Shield" Dera Al-Janoub website.
