President Al-Zubaidi Chairs Meeting of the Assembly's Administrative Body


President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zoubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), chaired on Sunday a meeting of the administrative body of the National Assembly in the presence of Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Chairman of the Assembly, and his deputy, Mr. Essam Abdo Ali.

In the beginning of the meeting, the President praised the great efforts made by the heads of the National Assembly committees and their deputies in laying the foundations for the institutional work in the Assembly and carrying out the organizational tasks assigned to them.

The President emphasized that the STC has entered a new phase of political and organizational work that necessitates seeking and benefiting from all scientific competencies, human resources, and well-experienced national personalities from all walks of the southern spectrum, as all are partners in achieving the aspired goal of our people, which is to restore their land and build their independent federal state. .

The meeting focused on what had been accomplished in the amended organizational bylaw of the Assembly, and in this regard, Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri elaborated that the reformulated by-law determined not only the legislative and supervisory tasks of the Assembly but also specified in detail the tasks and responsibilities of its committees, members, and blocs in the governorates, and the mechanisms for activating and coordinating their work to be an assistant to the local leadership executive bodies in the governorates to achieve the general goals of the STC.

In the course of his speech, Al-Kathiri reviewed a number of articles of the amended by-law, enumerating the committees that have been added, the two mechanisms for evaluating the performance of members, and the job rotation of committees' heads and their deputies every two years.

At the end of his speech, Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri thanked the President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi for attending this meeting, for the attention he gives to the National Assembly, and for his keenness to follow up on the progress of its work, affirming that the chairmanship of the Assembly, its administrative body, and the members will spare no effort to be up to the level of trust that they have been shouldered.

President Al-Zubaidi then listened to interventions from members of the Assembly’s administrative body, which focused entirely on the topics and issues taking place on the national scene and the mechanism for dealing with them, in addition to a range of suggestions to develop the Assembly’s work and enhance its organizational role within the framework of the STC.
