President Al-Zubaidi Offers Condolences to UAE President and King of Bahrain on Martyrdom of Members of Armed Forces in Somalia
President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), sent a cable of condolence and sympathy to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, condoling them over the martyrdom of three members of the UAE Armed Forces and an officer from the Bahrain Defence Force, after being exposed to a heinous terrorist act in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, while fulfilling their mission to train and qualify the Somali Armed Forces.

It is with deep sadness and grief that we received the news of the martyrdom of three heroic members of the UAE Armed Forces and a heroic officer from the Bahrain Defence Force as a result of being exposed to a heinous terrorist act in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, while fulfilling their mission to train and qualify the Somali Armed Forces.
With this major loss, we extend to your honorable highness and Majesty, to the families, relatives, and comrades of the martyrs, and to the two brotherly Emirati and Bahraini peoples our deepest condolences and great sympathy, praying to Allah, the Almighty, to bestow His vast mercy and forgiveness on the martyrs of duty and to make their abode in paradise, and wishing for a full and speedy recovery for those injured.
We also re-affirm our full support and solidarity with our brothers in the brotherly Republic of Somalia against terrorism and all forms of extremism, renewing our call for concerted international efforts to eradicate terrorism from its roots and dry up its sources.
