President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zoubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), highlighted the major role assumed by moral guidance and political officers in enhancing the fighting spirit among the Southern Armed Forces.
This came during his meeting on Saturday with the Ground Forces Guiding Staff, in the presence of Major General Kamal Hamshari, a member of the STC's Presidium and office head of the President of the STC, Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, head of the Political Commission (PC) assisting the Presidium of the STC and head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, and Major General Ali Al-Bishi, Commander of the Ground Forces.
In the meeting, the President indicated the high role of moral guidance in strengthening the national and combat doctrine among members of the Southern Armed Forces and protecting them from the threats of psychological warfare waged through spreading rumors, fake news, and propaganda that aim to break the spirit and beliefs of the southern fighters.
President Al-Zoubaidi addressed the attendees, saying: “The psychological state of a fighter is the decisive factor for achieving victory in any battlefield; therefore, it is your responsibility today as guiding officers to strengthen the national doctrine of the fighters and protect them against misleading news and rumors launched by the enemies within the framework of psychological warfare targeting our valiant forces that have a well-proven efficiency in ultimately achieving victories on all fronts.
The President added: “We highly value your efforts and look forward to promoting your role in raising awareness among fighters, consolidating their fighting spirit, enhancing their belonging to the southern homeland, and preparing them well at all psychological, intellectual, and moral dimensions.”
At the end of the meeting, President Al-Zoubaidi listened to the Land Forces Commander, who gave an explanation of the efforts exerted in the aspects of qualifying and training moral guidance officers and the overall tasks carried out in the aspect of guidance in various military units, in addition to listening to a briefing from moral guidance officers about the field tasks that they have been conducting.
