President Al-Zoubaidi Reviews with Netherlands Ambassador Recent Developments in Peace Efforts

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zoubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), received at his office in the capital, Aden, on Monday morning, H.E. Janet Sieben, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Yemen.

The meeting highlighted the special bilateral relations that have existed between the two friendly countries and the efforts exerted by the Netherlands government to support the path of peace and restore security and stability to the country and the entire region, in addition to the latest developments related to the roadmap led by the UN Special Envoy and the support of the official brothers in the Arab coalition countries led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

President Al-Zoubaidi appreciated the support provided by the Kingdom of the Netherlands in humanitarian aspects like water resources management and supporting the empowerment of women and girls to participate in peacebuilding, stressing the importance of enhancing support to include sustainable development projects that mitigate the repercussions resulting from the economic crisis on citizens.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Saleh Al-Haj, Director of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs (GDFA) of the STC, Mr. Imad Mohammad, Office Director of the Vice President of the PLC, and from the Netherlands Embassy, Ms. Tessa Skholma, First Secretary for Political Affairs at the Embassy.
