President Al-Zoubaidi Gets Briefed on Readiness of the Naval Forces

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zoubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met on Saturday at his office with Lieutenant General Marshall Abdullah Salem Al-Nakha'i, commander of the Naval Forces.

President Al-Zoubaidi was briefed on the readiness of the naval forces and the efforts exerted to rebuild and develop their combat capabilities to efficiently carry out the assigned national tasks of enhancing maritime security and protecting international shipping lanes in Bab Al-Mandeb, the Gulf of Aden, and the Red Sea. In this regard, President Al-Zoubaidi stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to reach the required readiness, reiterating his confidence in the capabilities and competencies of the naval forces in carrying out tasks to the fullest.

President Al-Zoubaidi also listened to Lieutenant General Marshal Al-Nakha'i, who gave a satisfied explanation of the efforts made by the Naval Forces Command to rehabilitate its facilities and provide them with modern and advanced equipment. Moreover, Al-Nakhai affirmed the full readiness of the Naval Forces to actively participate in the international coalition to protect the shipping lanes in the Red Sea, Bab Al-Mandeb, and the Gulf of Aden.

The meeting was attended by Brigadier General Ali Haidra Saleh, Chief of Naval Forces Operations, Colonel Arif Al-Alwani, Deputy Commander for Technical Affairs, and Mr. Imad Mohammad, Director of the Office of the PLC's Vice Chairman.
