President Al-Zubaidi Meet with UN Secretary-General
President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), along with Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the PLC, at the post-plenary session of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, with Mr. Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary-General.
The meeting discussed the UN-led endeavours to contain the repercussions of the worst humanitarian crisis in the world caused by the hostile war launched by the Houthi militias.
Furthermore, the meeting reviewed the developments in the situation in Yemen, the efforts led by the PLC's leadership and the government to alleviate the economic and humanitarian situation, and the required international interventions at all levels.
The meeting also touched on the latest developments in the political situation in light of the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aimed at ending the war and launching a political process under UN auspices.
