President Al-Zubaidi Gets Briefed on Activities of Southern Journalists and Media Syndicate

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met on Thursday evening with the head of the Southern Journalists and Media Syndicate (SJMS), Mr. Aidarous Bahashwan.

During the meeting, which was attended by the secretary-general of the SJMS, Mr. Salah Al-Aqel, and the deputy head of the SJMS, Nasr Baghreeb, President Al-Zubaidi was briefed on the activities and tasks of the SJMS that had been accomplished during the past period and its plans and programs for the upcoming stage.

President Al-Zubaidi lauded the immense efforts exerted by the headship of the SJMS to complete the establishment of its branches in the governorates and the important steps it has taken to gain membership in regional and international federations.

President Al-Zubaidi affirmed his support for the syndicate and its independence as an entity that represents all Southern journalists of various orientations and affiliations, defends their rights, takes care of their interests, develops their skills in terms of training and professionalism, and fulfills the responsibilities of this career as per the well-founded bases.

To the end of the meeting, Mr. Bahshwan highly appreciated the immense support of President Al-Zubaidi to establish the SJMS, under his patronage of the first conference of Southern journalists and media members, from which the syndicate has emerged, affirming the keenness of the SJMS's headship to work with full independence in accordance with the goals for which it was established as an umbrella for all journalists and media members of the South with their various affiliations.
