President Al-Zubaidi Highlights High Role of Shari'ah Board of the South in Strengthening National Cohesiveness

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met on Thursday with the Preparatory Committee to reactivate the role of the Shari'ah Board of the South led by Waddah Omar Al-Subaihi.

The president listened to the committee head and its members, who gave a detailed explanation of what the committee had accomplished to prepare for holding the public conference to reactivate the role of the Shari'ah Board of the South and perform its role in this sensitive phase that the South is going through.

Similarly, President Al-Zubaidi praised the role of the Shari'ah Board of the South since its establishment in supporting the southern liberation revolution, clarifying many of the ideas and misconceptions promoted by the enemies of the south to distort the peaceful revolution of the south, and refuting fatwas that allowed the killing  of Southerners and turned their land into a booty of war.

Furthermore, the President addressed the attendees, saying that they have a huge national responsibility to strengthen the southern national cohesiveness and preserve the social fabric, spread the spirit of fraternity and tolerance among the people of the South, and clarify and inculcate the concepts of the tolerant Islamic faith away from extremism and fanaticism.

To the end of the meeting, Pesident Al-Zubaidi called on the committee to open up to all, whether sheikhs, preachers, students of legitimate knowledge, or religious centers, and whoever would contribute to activating the work of the board, asserting his support for the committee and its efforts to accomplish the entrusted tasks.
