President Al-Zubaidi Commends Sacrifices of Al-Sabiha and Farsighted Keenness on Southern Cohesiveness

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) met today, Thursday, with Sheikh Abdul-Rahman Jalal, a member of the STC's Presidium and mayor Sheikh of Al-Sabiha tribes in Lahj Governorate.

At the beginning of the meeting, the president warmly welcomed Sheikh Abdul-Rahman Jalal, and reassured his health after returning from a medical trip in the Arab Republic of Egypt, wishing him constant good health and longevity.

President Al-Zubaidi lauded the efforts of Sheikh Abdul-Rahman and the tribes of al-Sabiha in the various turns that the southern liberation revolution went through, in addition to the sacrifices made by the people of al-Sabiha to secure the western borders of the South from Houthi attacks, infiltration and smuggling attempts.

The President affirmed that the Sabiha tribes have been and will definitely remain a safety valve for the South, and the ultimate sacrifices made by the Sabiha people at various stages will always remain a source of pride for the people of Lahj and the South in general.

The President, too, praised the great attention and utmost care given by the people of Al-Sabiha to the unity of the southern ranks and cohesiveness, their active participation in the consultative meeting, and the success of the Southern National Dialogue, which culminated in the signing of the Southern National Charter.

For his part, Sheikh Abdul-Rahman Jalal offered thanks to President Al-Zubaidi for being given confidence as a member of the Presidium of the STC, highly appreciating the special attention paid by President Al-Zubaidi to the areas of Al-Sabiha in particular and Lahj Governorate in general.

To the end of the meeting, the mayor Sheikh of Al-Sabiha affirmed the full support of the people of Al-Sabiha behind President Al-Zubaidi, and his incessant efforts for the unity of the southern ranks, cohesiveness and rapprochement until achieving the supreme goal of the people of the South crystalized in liberation, independence and restoration of the state of the South with it full sovereignty.
