President Al-Zubaidi Commends Uncompromisingly Struggling Roles of Almahrah People and Farsighted Keenness on Southern Cohesiveness

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), received today, Wednesday, a high-level delegation of Almahrah people led by Sheikh Rajeh bin Saeed Bakrit, member of the Shura Council and former governor of Almahrah Governorate.

The delegation included a number of political, social, and military personalities, businessmen, and academicians from Almahra Governorate, who came to the capital, Aden, to positively and actively participate in the consultative meeting of the southern political components, which is scheduled to be held tomorrow, Thursday.

At the start of the meeting, the President warmly welcomed the delegation, praising the uncompromisingly struggling roles of the people of Almahrah and their ultimate sacrifices along the path of the southern liberation revolution and the revolutionary momentum that the governorate is witnessing in its sprawlingly various areas to bring triumph for the rights of the people of Almahrah within the framework of the aspired state of the South.

The President reaffirmed that Almahra Governorate represents a fundamental pillar in the state of the South, as it is the Eastern Gateway to the South, with its cultural and historical heritage and strategic and economic importance.

President Al-Zubaidi praised the efforts of the participants and the attendees, their positive response to the invitation, and their enduring the trouble of traveling to reach the capital, Aden, to participate in the consultative meeting, highlighting that this reflects the keenness and interest of the people of Almahrah in the unity of the southern ranks and strengthening the national cohesiveness as an inevitable necessity to achieve the aspirations and goals of our people, for which they sacrificed the best and bravest heroes and men, reaffirming his position in support of the people of Almahrah and their right to manage the civil, military, and security affairs of their governorate.

After that, President Al-Zubaidi listened to a satisfied explanation from the attendees of the overall conditions in Almahrah Governorate and the issues and demands of the people of the governorate. President Al-Zubaidi affirmed that what was raised would be of high interest to him and that he would continue his efforts within the framework of the PLC and the government to bring fairness and equity to Almahra and empower its people in decision-making circles.

In turn, the people of Almahrah highly appreciated the efforts exerted by President Al-Zubaidi to unify the southern ranks, affirming that Almahra has been and will definitely remain part and parcel of the South and an integral part of the great southern homeland, renewing at the same time their lining up behind him to steer the ship of the South to safe harbor.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, director of the General Directorate for Foreign Affairs (GDFA) of the STC and chairman of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission.
