The Supreme Committee for Relief and Humanitarian Action (SCRHA) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) inaugurated, on Tuesday the distribution of food baskets to poor and needy families in all governorates of the South, which was given by President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC.
At the inauguration, Eng. Adnan Al-Kaf, member of the STC's Presidium and head of the SCRHA, indicated that this initiative comes at a time when many southern families live in a difficult situation, which is associated with the economic conditions the country is going through and the high cost, noting that this initiative has come as per the directives of President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi and that it includes the distribution of 54,000 food baskets targeting needy and poor families in all governorates of the South.
For her part, lawyer Niran Souqi, deputy chairman of the National Assembly and member of the STC's Presidium, affirmed that this generous gesture from President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi is not new to him and that it was preceded by the distribution of food baskets to the families of the martyrs a few days ago to relieve the suffering of people in light of the economic conditions the country is going through, affirming that the STC devotes as much effort as possible towards citizens in the South.
The inauguration was attended by Mr. Esam Abdo Ali, in charge of the STC's head of local leadership executive body (LLEB) in the capital Aden, and Mr. Osama Mohsen bin Brik, head of the Martyrs and Wounded Department in the General Secretariat, and Mr. Mazen Al-Baghdadi, head of the Social Affairs Administration in the capital Aden
