President Al-Zubaidi Chairs Joint Military Meeting in the capital, Aden

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), chaired on Monday a joint military meeting in the capital, Aden, which included the Minister of Defense in the power-sharing government, Lieutenant-General Mohsen Al-Da'eri, the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Sagheer Aziz, and a delegation from the Arab coalition forces led by Major General Sultan Al-Baqami, and commanders from the ministry and the southern military and security forces.

The President Al-Zubaidi listened to Lieutenant-General Al-Daari's satisfied explanation of the results of the field inspection visits carried out by the Military Committee, which he led to the military divisions and axes, and the level of combat readiness of the forces picketed on the various front lines with the Houthi militia.

The meeting focused on the Houthi military escalation on a range of fronts, as the president affirmed that this escalation, during the days of the holy month, confirms the reality of this terrorist militia, its aggressiveness, and its non-compliancy with all calm initiatives and peaceful solutions to cease the war.

The president stressed the importance of raising combat readiness on all frontlines, increasing the level of coordination between the various military units, and dealing  firmly and decisively with any attacks that may be launched by Houthi militia to curb their hostile actions.

The meeting was attended by Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, member of the STC's Presidium and Chairman of the National Assembly, and Mr. Mohammed al-Ghaithi, Director of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs (GDFA) of the STC; and Chairman of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission (CRC) of the PLC.
