President Al-Zubaidi Gets Briefed on Situation and Ways to Rebuild the Naval Forces 

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the president of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and deputy head of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), on Tuesday, was briefed on the conditions of the Navy and its personnel, in a meeting with Lieutenant Commander Abdullah Salem Al-Nakha'i, and the accompanying commanders of the Naval Forces,

The meeting reviewed the troubles encountering the naval forces together with the requirements of rebuilding the Navy, raising the readiness and capabilities of the combat forces to perform the assigned national tasks in maintaining the security of the Red Sea, al-Mandab Strait, the Gulf of Aden, and international maritime lines, in addition to confronting Houthi/Iranian threats, and protecting Arab national security.

President Al-Zubaidi listened from Al-Nakh'i to an explanation of the efforts being made to rebuild the navy, promote its role, protect facilities, and rehabilitate the rest of the naval vessels after being affected by the organized destruction since 1994.

To the end of the meeting, Al-Nakha'i expressed his thanks and appreciation to President Al-Zubaidi for his efforts in supporting command of the Navy and its personnel since 2016.

The meeting was attended by Brigadier General Kamal Hamshary, Office Director of the President of the STC.
