The president Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, Deputy head of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), on Wednesday, chaired a meeting of military commanders in the Ministry of Defense.
In the meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Defense in the power-sharing government, Lieutenant-General Mohammed Ali Al-Maqdashi, the president Al-Zubaidi listened from commanders of the brigades, units and military bodies in the ministry, to a satisfied explanation of the developments on various confronting fronts with Houthi militias, in light of its continuous violations of the UN truce, in addition to plans and programs of the Ministry in the upcoming period.
In the meeting, the president stressed the need to abide and practice the utmost restraint in respect of the UN truce, while raising the level of operational coordination between the various brigades, units and military axes to deal firmly with Houthi breaches and curb their hostile practices.
The president Al-Zubaidi affirmed that the PLC is paying most attention to all military units and brigades, and is keen to meet requirements of the affiliates, and provide the logistical support, to efficiently and effectively perform the national role, in the same context, praised the active contribution of the Arab coalition countries led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and their constant support for the various fronts and combat axes to secure the required needs.
The president Al-Zubaidi pointed out that the current stage is both important and sensitive, and it requires mobilizing and directing all potentialities towards the common enemy; represented by the terrorist Houthi militia and its dynastic sectarian project, doubling efforts, and strengthening continuous coordination with the Ministry of Interior and the security services in its various formations to implement the common tasks, foremost of which is the task of countering terrorist organizations and cross-border smuggling.
To the end of the meeting, the commanders of the Ministry of Defense valued the paid attention by the PLC and its incessant keenness to solve all troubles that hinder the performance of the Ministry, and to assist performing its tasks as a national institution assigned to protect borders of the country and preserving its security and stability.
