President Al-Zubaidi bids farewell to Russian ambassador on end of his diplomatic missions

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, received on Thursday, at his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, the Russian Ambassador, Vladimir Didushkin, to bid him farewell on the occasion of the end of his term as ambassador of the Russian Federation in Yemen.

President Al-Zubaidi expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation for the tireless efforts made by the Ambassador during his term, praising his great contributions to developing and strengthening bilateral relations between the South and the Russian Federation, as well as his distinguished role in supporting peace efforts in the South and Yemen, pointing to the position of Russian friends and their pivotal role in pushing for a comprehensive political settlement to end the conflict in our country.

In the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi presented a commemorative shield to the Russian ambassador in appreciation of his diplomatic efforts during his term.

For his part, Ambassador Vladimir Didushkin expressed his deep thanks and gratitude to President Aidaros Al-Zubaidi for the warm reception and the honor he received, stressing that Russia's relationship with the South and Yemen is not new, but is a historical relationship that included a lot of joint cooperation in various fields.
