President Al-Zubaidi meets with the Southern Teachers and Educators Syndicate

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi. met on Sunday in the capital, Aden, with the Syndicate of Southern Teachers and Educators of the capital, Aden and the southern governorates.

President Al-Zubaidi listened to a detailed explanation on the programs and tasks undertaken by the Southern Teachers and Educators Syndicate to defend the rights of teachers and extract their rights.

President Al-Zubaidi got informed on the reasons that led the teachers to declare their general strike, stressing that the Southern Transitional Council supports teachers to extract their rights by peaceful and legal means, without affecting the educational process and not to deprive students of their right of education.

President Al-Zubaidi stressed on the need for the educational sector to be obtained their full rights as same as to labors in other sectors, calling on the authorities in the government to take their responsibilities and fulfill their obligations in this regard.

For their part, the Syndicate leadership affirmed that their protest movement and their call for a general strike are not aimed at disrupting the educational process or depriving students of education, noting that it resorted to this option extract their rights after exhausting all the attempts with government institutions .
