President Al-Zubaidi Discusses with Al-Ghareeb Efforts to Strengthen Southern Cohesiveness

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met on Wednesday at his office in the capital, Aden, with lawyer Ali Haitham Alghareeb, head of a component of the Peaceful Movement and former minister of justice.

President Al-Zubaidi discussed with Lawyer Al-Ghareeb a range of topics and issues on the national scene, foremost of which are the efforts being made to unite the southern ranks, strengthen national cohesiveness, and promote rapprochement to meet the challenges of this current phase and prepare for the upcoming entitlements of the South and its people.

President Al-Zubaidi reviewed the understandings reached by the Southern National Dialogue Team (SNDT), with the southern political components to be integrated within the framework of the STC and the restructuring process that will include the various bodies and committees of the STC.

The President reaffirmed that the doors of the STC were and will definitely remain widely open to all southerners and will never be monopolized by a single political party, region, component, or group, based on the deeply-rooted belief in the principle that the South will only be with and for all its people.

For his part, lawyer Al-Ghareeb highly valued the immense efforts made by President Al-Zubaidi to unite the southern ranks, consolidate the southern internal frontline, and show his full openness to all southern powers without exception, affirming his full confidence in President Al-Zubaidi's courage, ability, and right actions to steer the ship of the South to safe harbor.
