President Al-Zubaidi Holds Joint Meeting with GDFA, Dialogue and Negotiation Teams

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), held a joint meeting on Wednesday evening at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs (GDFA), the Southern National Dialogue Team (SNDT), and the Negotiations Affairs Unit (NAU).

At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Mr. Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, member of the STC's Presidium, President Al-Zubaidi expressed his happiness at the presence of this constellation of competencies and diplomatic cadres of the South, lauding their efforts in accomplishing the entrusted tasks and activities during the past period.

The President called on the attendees to accelerate the pace of work, intensify efforts, and be prepared for the upcoming political entitlements by crystallizing clear and realistic visions towards achieving the aspirations of the people of the South and preserving their ultimate sacrifices.

President Al-Zubaidi asserted that the regional and international powers are now more keen than ever to cease the war and establish a lasting peace in the entire region through a comprehensive political process with the participation of all the active actors, noting that this requires redoubling efforts and being open to all national forces to present a unified southern vision that guarantees a just solution to the cause of the South in a way that meets the aspirations of our people and their right to restore the state of the South with full sovereignty over its internationally recognized borders until May 21, 1990.

After that, President Al-Zubaidi listened to a range of opinions and remarks raised about the course of the political and diplomatic work of the STC, in addition to certain inquiries on the international developments related to the comprehensive political process, and replied to them.
