STC's Presidium Commends Highly Positive Response by Political and Communal Components of the South to President Al-Zubaidi's Call for Dialogue

The Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting on Tuesday, chaired by Mr. Fadhl Mohammed Al-Gaadi, member of the Presidium of the STC and Deputy Secretary-General of the General Secretariat.

At the beginning of its meeting, the Presidium listened to a briefing by Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Haj, the head of the Internal Southern National Dialogue Team (ISNDT), and his deputy, Mr. Abdul-Salam Musa'ed, about the team's activities during December 2022, the outcomes of its meetings with the political and communal components, its vision for the dialogue process, and the extent to which these components can contribute to the success of the dialogue.

Similarly, the Presidium reviewed the work program of the ISNDT for the upcoming period, which enlisted the components to be met by the ISNDT to continue finishing the first phase of the dialogue and then prepare for the second phase after being discussed and approved.

The Presidium praised the efforts made by the ISNDT, as well as the highly positive response shown by the political and communal components to the sincere invitation made by President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi to engage in the dialogue process, affirming that this reflects the keenness to preserve the national gains achieved for the South by the ultimate sacrifices of its heroes, and the deep-rooted principle that the South will only be with and for all its people.

The Presidium directed all the STC's bodies, both in the capital, Aden, and the governorates of the South, to provide all facilities for the ISNDT and ease its workflow to accomplish the assigned tasks up to the mark.

In another context, the Presidium stood before certain suspicious activities of several officially unrecognized civil institutions that are trying to conspicuously implement conspirative agendas against the South and its cause, calling on the concerned authorities to deal with such institutions in accordance with legal procedures and regulations. In the same sense, the Presidium firmly demanded international organizations to beware and find out the facts when dealing with these institutions, entities, and personalities that have deeply-held political agendas targeting the local community, asserting the need to work as per the official frameworks and proper channels recognized by the local authority.

To the end of its meeting, the Presidium touched on several topics and issues related to the work of the STC's bodies and took the appropriate measures.
