President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the president of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and deputy head of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), on Thursday, met, at his office in the capital, Aden, with Brigadier General Hamdi Shukri, commander of the 2nd Giants Brigade.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief welcomed Brigadier General Shukri, and was briefed on the efforts made by the forces of the Second Giants Brigade in supporting the security services in al-Sabbiha areas, and the joint coordination among the security services and the Security Belt forces in Lahj, and the forces of the Second Giants Brigade to maintain security and stability in Al-Sabbiha areas.
The Commander-in-Chief listened from Brigadier General Shukri a satisfied explanation of the deployment of the 2nd Giants Brigade forces in Shabwa, and the western coast, in addition to the combat readiness of the brigade and the assigned tasks it has been accomplishing in all frontlines.
For his part, Brigadier General Shukri expressed his thanks and appreciation for the immense support provided by President Al-Zubaidi to the southern armed forces in its various formations and his backing for the command of the Second Giants Brigade to implement the assigned national tasks, affirming that the forces of the Second Brigade are fully prepared to implement the directives of the Supreme Command whenever and wherever calling for national tasks.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier General Mohsen Al-Wali, commander of the Security Belt Forces.
