The President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, stressed the importance of the role played by the southern scientific and academic cadres in Abyan governorate, stressing the Transitional Council’s readiness to support any workshops carried out by the Council’s coordinators in the faculties of Abyan University at all levels, in a manner that serves the people of Abyan, and restores to the province its scientific, cultural, historical, and industrial status.
This came during President Al-Zubaidi's meeting with the leaders and members of the Southern Transitional Council's coordinators at the faculties of Abyan University, on Wednesday, at the Transitional Council's headquarters in the capital, Aden.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by the member of the Presidency of the Council, Brigadier Nasser Al-Saadi, and the head of the local leadership of the Council in Abyan governorate, Mohammad Ahmed Al-Shaqi, President Al-Zubaidi welcomed all members of the STC’s coordinators at the faculties of Abyan University, praising all the practical steps they have taken since the formation of the Coordination in May 6, 2021.
President Al-Zubaidi praised the struggle role of the people of Abyan governorate, and their legendary steadfastness in the face of invading forces that aim to reoccupy the capital, Aden, and the liberated governorates of the South, as well as their pivotal role in combating terrorism alongside the security belt forces in Abyan, in addition to the role that Abyan played in the various phases of the southern people’s struggle to restore and build their independent federal state on its entire national homeland.
President Al-Zubaidi stressed that transparency and clarity are what will lead us to build the desired state of the south, pointing out to the importance of being a family, a home, a clan, and one people, and cohesive to face all challenges.
President Al-Zubaidi noted that Abyan governorate needs a double, serious effort, and the solidarity of all to improve it and get it out of its current situation, and to establish security and stability in it, as the governorates of the South were experiencing before 1990 and 1994, stressing that terrorist organizations were industrialized and exported to the south since 1994 by the Brotherhood group.
President Al-Zubaidi also stressed the importance of the role played by the southern scientific and academic cadres in Abyan, noting to the importance of the role that academics must play because they are close to the southern community, stressing the Transitional Council’s readiness to support any workshops carried out by the Council’s coordinators in the faculties of Abyan University at all levels in a manner that serves the people of Abyan, and restores the governorate’s scientific, cultural, historical, and industrial status.
President Al-Zubaidi highlighted the need to get together, enhance social cohesion, and unite the southern ranks, and preserve the bond of the southern fabric from conspiracies, disruption and division that seek to undermine the issue of the south, especially at this fateful stage in the south.
At the end of the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi, listened from the leaders and members of the Southern Transitional Council’s coordinators in the faculties of Abyan University, to a detailed explanation of the efforts made to establish the coordination at Abyan University and the most prominent achievements that have been achieved, as well as the difficulties and obstacles facing the coordination, and what should be done to activate its role, and to perform its duties within the framework of the university and society.
A number of topics were discussed, foremost of which is the danger of terrorist groups returning to the governorate, and how to unify efforts to purify Abyan from terrorism, reviewing how the southern academic cadres have been subjected to systematic destruction, and deliberate marginalization, over the past three decades by Sana'a regime.
They stressed the importance of the cooperation of all the people of Abyan with the council, working to strengthen the ranks, and aligning behind the southern political leadership represented by President Aidarous al-Zubaidi to preserve the security and military gains.
At the conclusion of their interventions, they pointed out to the need to preserve the southern political, military and security constants, and the great southern victories.
Subsequently, the President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, responded to all the questions and inquiries of the leaders and members of the council's coordinators in the faculties of Abyan University, stressing work on a solution, and overcoming all obstacles according to the available possibilities.
