The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidaroos Qassim Abdul Aziz Al-Zubaidi, inaugurated on Wednesday the headquarter of the National Assembly in Aden, in presence of the President of the National Assembly, Major General Ahmad Saeed Ben Brik, and Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, the Secretary General of the Transitional Council, and Fadhl Al-Jaadi, member of the Southern Transitional Council Presidency, and a number of the Transitional Council presidency, Secretary General, and General Assembly officials. President Al-Zubaidi delivered a speech in which he congratulated the National Assembly on the inauguration of its headquarter, praising the efforts made to achieve this achievement of establishing the National Assembly on scientific and practical bases and according to the political program of the Southern Transitional Council. Al-Zubaidi said: "Since the beginning of the first day of the establishment of the Southern Transitional Council and the National Assembly, we have been keen to make these national southern institutions an ideal image of representing the aspirations of our people and to reflect our political progress locally and abroad". Al-Zubaidi said that "These accomplishments are the results of the struggles of our southern people since 1994 until now and the political effort in the previous stages in which we worked in conditions that are more difficult than the recent circumstances that we are experiencing today, we are stepping this new step towards a future stage." President Al-Zubaidi stressed on the importance of working at a high rate and improve the performance of all departments and sections, and work among the community to achieve real political empowerment on the ground. President Al-Zubaidi emphasized that the Southern Transitional Council's call for dialogue with all other southern political components stems from the belief that the homeland is open to all to achieve the aspirations of southern people. For his part, the President of the National Assembly, Major General Ahmed Said Ben Brik pledged the National Assembly to be for the good of everyone, through the development of its work and improve its performance to serve the cause of the people of the South.
