The Education Administration in the assistant local leadership executive body (LLEB) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) for Hadhramout Valley and Desert Affairs concluded on Thursday the first educational summer camp for girls in Al-Qatn District, which was held under the patronage of STC President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi.
During the closing event, Education Director Khaled Nasr Al-Shutwi conveyed greetings from the Secretary-General of the STC and urged trainees to convey the skills and knowledge they have acquired to benefit them, their families, and society, stressing that the camp is the start of other summer camps to be organized by the Transitional Council in various districts.
The event began with a speech by the head of al-Qatn Forums Union, Hana Al-Quaiti, who highly praised the STC's support for youth and girls' training programs, noting 108 trainees participated, and pledged continued efforts to implement youth-focused projects.
Trainee Fatima Khuzaimah thanked STC leadership for sponsoring the camp and commended the Youth Forums Union for its organization. She called for more skill-development programs for girls.
On behalf of the trainees, trainee Fatima Khuzma delivered a speech in which she expressed her thanks and gratitude to the leadership of the STC for sponsoring this camp and to the efforts of the Union of Youth Forums in Al-Qatn for good implementation and organization, calling for more skill-development programs for girls.
At the end of the celebratory event, the Director of the Education Administration, the assistant LLEB, and personalities who contributed to the success of the camp were honored with certificates of thanks and appreciation, and the course instructors and trainees were honored with certificates of participation in appreciation of their efforts and perseverance.
It is worth mentioning that the summer camp, which was held at the Qatn Youth Forum under the slogan "Together for Serving Girls," was held from August 9 to 14 and included training courses in the fields of gypsum industry work, theme design, and photography, in addition to raising awareness and cultural, political, and entertainment programs.
The camp's conclusion was attended by National Assembly member Tariq bin Salem, Advisory Council member Mohammed Bahyan, head of the activities administration at Al-Qatn, Imad Bahramz, head of Al-Qatn LLEB, Mohammed Hussein Al-Haddad, and several members of the assistant LLEB, as well as educational and social figures.
