President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), chaired on Wednesday in the capital, Aden, a high-level meeting of the General Staff and senior officials from various defense ministry departments.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by the representative of the Saudi Duty Force 802, Capt. Abdullah Al-Zahrani, President Al-Zubaidi, and the attendees, listened to a briefing by the Chief of General Staff, Maj. Gen. Saghir bin Aziz, on the latest developments in the general situation of the forces stationed on the frontlines with the Houthi militia in the northern military regions, the level of discipline and combat readiness, and their deployment along the various military frontlines.
The Chief of Staff also confirmed the readiness of the forces within the fifth, sixth, and seventh military regions to execute the tasks assigned to them, pointing to the high morale of the fighters from these regions and their firm readiness to engage in the Battle of Dignity to eliminate the Iranian-backed Houthi project.
President Al‑Zubaidi, in his remarks, praised the immense sacrifices made by all various formations of armed forces personnel and reaffirmed that the battle against the terrorist Houthi militias is a battle of dignity, existence, and shared fate, and there are no choices but victory or martyrdom.
President Al-Zubaidi addressed the senior officials, saying, "We stand today at a historic and decisive moment that will determine the fate of the entire region. Together—political and military leadership—we must assume our responsibility to eliminate our common enemy, the terrorist Houthi militia, and secure the region from threats of Iranian expansion.”
His Excellency added, “The situation demands us to work seriously and in unified team spirit, and victory will only be achieved through coordination, joint planning, organization, and relentless effort.”
The president further highlighted the importance of maintaining ongoing training and qualification programs for armed forces personnel, noting that these programs are central to the missions of both the Defense Ministry and the General Staff, urging the ministry leadership to intensify efforts in training personnel and officers to meet operation needs across various military theaters, regions, and axes to meet with rapidly evolving developments on all frontlines.
In turn, the Chief of the General Staff, together with heads of various defense departments in attendance, expressed their deep gratitude to President Al‑Zubaidi, commended his continual concern for the welfare of armed forces members, constant follow-up of their conditions, and his unwavering support under all circumstances, and reaffirmed their full commitment to implement political and military leadership directives and to exert every effort toward victory, the defeat of the Houthi militias, and the consolidation of security and stability.
