Military Forces Medical Department Launches Distribution of IV Fluids to Medical Centers Across Governorates of the South

The Military Forces Medical Department in the Southern Transitional Council (STC) launched on Saturday the major distribution of intravenous (IV) solutions and medical supplies to government hospitals and health units in the capital, Aden, and neighboring governorates, in accordance with the directives of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), and under the supervision of the STC's Humanitarian Aid and Relief Commission (HARC) and the local leadership executive body (LLEB) of the STC in the capital, Aden.

During the launch, Mr. Moamen Al-Saqqaf, a member of the STC’s Presidium and head of the LLEB in the capital, Aden, emphasized that the STC headship in the capital is exerting maximum effort to support the health authorities to combat seasonal fever outbreaks, adding that these efforts are being carried out in cooperation with the local authorities, led by Governor Ahmed Lamlas.

In turn, Lawyer Niran Souqi, head of the HARC, stated that the launch of the distribution of these solutions to hospitals and fever treatment centers comes in line with the directives from President Al-Zubaidi, who pays special attention to the health sector, noting that the Transitional Council closely follows up on the developments of the health situation across all governorates of the South and works at full capacity to support the health authorities and enable them to perform their tasks in combating fevers and develop rapid response plans in anticipation of emergencies.

The director of the Armed Forces Medical Department, Brigadier General Dr. Aref Al-Da'eri, confirmed that the medical convoy consists of 500,000 IV solutions of various types, which will be dispatched to all governorates of the South and distributed to government hospitals and medical centers in the capital, Aden, and the governorates of Lahij, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramaut, Almahra, and Socotra.
