The Administrative Body of the Council of Advisors (CoA) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held on Tuesday its second regular meeting for the month of December 2024, in the capital, Aden, chaired by Mr. Ahmad al-Rabizi, Deputy Chairman of the CoA.
The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the Southern scene and the outcomes of the contact and awareness-raising teams that have been tasked by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, the president of the STC, to visit the governorates of the South to bolster political awareness and assess the economic, living, security, and service conditions.
The administrative body has lauded the outreach efforts of the teams in engaging with a broad spectrum of personalities and components of the South across all districts and governorates, which was accompanied by popular momentum that reflects the strong coalescing of the people of the South around their political leadership, led by the President Al-Zubaidi and the STC, to find urgent solutions for all pressing issues related to the lives of citizens, taking into account what was proposed in the engagements and urged the implementation of the practical activities that enhance joint work among all people of the South and advance the goal of the realization of the sovereign state of the South.
The body discussed the suspicious movements of groups coming into the South aiming to carry out doubtful schemes and activities that have raised questions about their intentions and potential impact on the security, social harmony, and cohesiveness of the people of the South and the ways to counter any threats.
In its meeting, the body reviewed the proposed work plans for committees of the CoA in the coming year, 2025, emphasizing the importance of committee heads adhering to the submission of periodic reports and activity completion reports according to the standardized formats and deadlines.
At the end of its meeting, the body touched on the key achievements of the CoA over the half year, highlighting a range of topics related to the work of its committees and issuing a number of recommendations in this regard. In addition to reviewing and approving the minutes of its previous meeting.
