President Al-Zubaidi Meets with Head and Members of the SMSC

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met today, Sunday, in his office at the Presidential Palace in At-Tawahi, Aden, with Major General Haitham Qassem Taher, Head of the Supreme Military and Security Committee (SMSC), and the Committee's members.

President Al-Zubaidi was briefed by Major General Haitham Qassem on the progress of the Committee's work and its achievements within the framework of its tasks, which include organizing and regulating the armed and security forces, coordinating security and combat tasks between various military and security formations, and the results of the field visits conducted by the Committee to review the military situation in all areas, combat axes, and fronts.

Similarly, President Al-Zubaidi listened to a briefing from the SMSC's head and members on the efforts made to implement the tasks included in its work plan for the coming period, stressing in this context the importance of redoubling efforts to organize the ranks of the combat and security forces and raise their level of readiness on all fronts to confront any threats that may destabilize the security and stability of the liberated areas.

Consequentially, the President highlighted, in his speech to the Head of the Committee and its members, the great national responsibility that lies on their shoulders, expressing his appreciation for all their efforts to organize the work of the military and security forces to ensure the integration of their work in the theater of security and combat operations, reiterating the PLC's support for the Committee and its provision of all facilities to carry out its assigned tasks to the fullest extent.

In turn, the Head and members of the SMSC expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation to President Al-Zubaidi for his stances in support of the Committee, his constant keenness to follow up on its work, and his continued promptness in easing all the difficulties they face.
