President Al-Zoubaidi Gets Briefed on Efforts of Abyan University Chancellor to Regulate the Educational Process

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zoubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met today, Tuesday, at his office in the capital, Aden, with Dr. Mahmoud Ahmed Al-Maysari, Chancellor of the University of Abyan.

During the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Al-Khader Al-Saeedi, a member of the STC's Presidium, the President listened to Dr. Al-Maysari, who gave an overview of the university since its founding in 2018, its colleges, scientific departments, and educational progress.

The President also briefed Dr. Al-Maysari on the conditions of the teaching and administrative staff at the University of Abyan, the efforts made by the university rectorship to improve their conditions, and its plans and programs to expand its academic programs to include various scientific specializations, in addition to the prominent challenges that face the university due to the lack of capabilities and the lack of well-furnished educational facilities, and the dilapidation of many buildings affiliated with the university by the events witnessed in the governorate during the past periods.

President Al-Zoubaidi lauded the great efforts exerted by the university rectorship to regularize the workflow of the educational process in colleges and scientific departments, asserting his support for all these efforts and working to provide the requirements that Abyan University needs to create a suitable educational environment for students studying there, as the least duty that can be proposed to this governorate that has suffered a lot during the past periods.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Imad Mohammad, Office Director of the Vice President of the PLC.
