President Al-Zubaidi Reviews Workflow of Ministry of Public Works and Highways

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), was briefed on the workflow of the Ministry of Public Works and Highways and the number of implemented projects over the past period.

It took place on Wednesday during a meeting with the Minister, Eng. Salem Al-Huraizi, and the Undersecretaries of the Ministry, Mr. Ali Ahmed Hassan, Mr. Hussein Al-Aqrabi, and Mr. Walid Radman, as President Al-Zubaidi listened to an explanation from them about the workflow in the Ministry, the funds and corporations associated with it, in addition to the plans and programs for the next stage and the challenges it faces while implementing the assigned tasks.

President Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of making more efforts in the upcoming period to implement projects, rehabilitate the international road network and main roads in the governorates, and raise the level of coordination with the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and donors to provide the necessary funding for certain projects included within the Ministry’s plans in various sectors.

At the end of the meeting, the president asserted his support for the leadership of the ministry and his readiness to ease any difficulties that may obstruct its work so that it can accomplish its tasks with all efficiency.

The meeting was attended by Major General Kamal Hamshari, member of the STC's Presidium and office head of the President of the STC, Mr. Emad Mohammed, office head of the Vice President of the PLC, and Eng. Mohammad al-Abadi, Director General of the Public Corporation for Roads and Bridges in the capital, Aden.
