Al-Yafe'y Chairs NSMA Regular Meeting

The National Southern Media Authority (NSMA) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its regular meeting today, Sunday, in the capital, Aden, headed by Mr. Mukhtar Al-Yafe'y.

The meeting reviewed the political, military, and service developments in the South, highlighting the vital role of the Southern media in keeping abreast of these developments and dealing responsibly with them.

The NSMA reiterated the need for media messaging to consistently demand urgent government action to address the ongoing deterioration in basic services, particularly the electricity crisis, the collapse of the currency, and the delay in paying salaries, which are now weighing heavily on citizens.

The authority commended Southern journalists for their patriotic positions and resilience against malicious media campaigns seeking to silence free voices, obstruct Southern media from performing its national mission of countering hostile outlets, and undermine the resolve of the people of the South in their fight to restore their independent federal state.

The meeting also discussed a range of pressing media issues and took appropriate measures to boost the effectiveness of media in the South during this critical phase.
