President Al-Zubaidi Receives Delegation of Dignitaries from Abyan Governorate

President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), received, on Friday evening, a delegation of dignitaries and notables of Abyan Governorate, led by Major General Ali Mohammad Al-Qufaish, Sheikh Ali Al-Maj'ali, and Brigadier General Lou'ay Al-Zamki.

At the beginning of the meeting, the President warmly welcomed the attendees, highly appreciating the role of sheikhs, dignitaries, notables, military commanders, and security officers in Abyan governorate in the battles against the Houthi militias and combat terrorist organizations and their remarkable contributions to maintaining security and stability in the governorate.

President Al-Zubaidi reaffirmed that the people of Abyan are rightly better equipped and wisely led to solve the problems of their governorate and its areas due to the abundance of mindset, well-qualified personalities, competencies, sheikhs, farsighted men, and well-experienced military and security officers, affirming in the context his complete willingness to provide whatever aspect of support for the interest of Abyan and serving its people.

Furthermore, President Al-Zubaidi pointed out the importance of concerted efforts and strengthening southern cohesiveness to face the current challenges, highlighting that the South accommodates all its people and will only be built with the cooperation and joint hands of all its people.

For their part, the attendees expressed their gratitude for all the efforts exerted by President Al-Zubaidi to secure and stabilize Abyan governorate. Moreover, they called for the continuation of the military operation "Arrows of the East" to counter-terrorism in the governorate, pledging to stand together with the southern armed forces to eradicate the threat of terrorism.

Similarly, the dignitaries and notables of Abyan affirmed their constant readiness to contribute to resolving all outstanding issues in the governorate before being aggravated and politicized by hostile parties to serve the agendas that target the South and make misguided attempts to tear its social fabric.

The meeting was attended by members of the STC's Presidium like Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, Head of the Negotiations Unit, Brigadier General Ali Al-Shaybah, Brigadier General Pilot Nasser Al-Saadi, Mr. Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, and Eng. Nizar Haitham, in addition to the Commander of the Southern Land Forces, Major General Ali Al-Bishi, the Commander of the Abyan Axis, Brigadier General Mukhtar Al-Nubi, and the commander of the Storm Brigades, Brigadier General Awsan Al-Anchli, and Mr. Khattab Al-Qafish.
