The spokesperson for the Southern Transitional Council, Eng. Nizar Haitham, affirmed the Council's support for the efforts of the Arab Coalition in implementing the Riyadh Agreement, noting to the deep partnership with the Arab Coalition in confronting the Houthi militias and terrorist groups, as well as the development in the southern governorates.
This came in a press statement by the official spokesman of the Transitional Council on Wednesday, as follows:
Within the framework of the efforts exerted by the leadership of the Arab Coalition to implement the Riyadh Agreement, and to find solutions that would address the political, military, humanitarian and development conditions.
In response to the interference of the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the leadership of the United Arab Emirates, and in the concern of the Southern Transitional Council to the success of the efforts of the leaderships of the two brotherly countries to implement the Riyadh Agreement, to achieve security and stability, and to unite joint efforts to confront the Houthi militias and terrorist groups, as well as the development of the southern provinces, and as we have achieved the goals that the Declaration of Self-Administration announced to implement the Riyadh Agreement to form a new government divided equally between North and South within thirty days, and appointing a governor and security director for the capital Aden, and moving the military forces to the combat fronts to be replaced by the security forces, the Transitional Council announces the abandonment of the declaration of Self-Administration, so that for the Arab Coalition to implement the Riyadh Agreement.
We affirm the continuation and deepening of our strategic partnership with the Arab Coalition at all political, military, economic and security levels, through our common goals in combating the Iranian interventions in the region, fighting terrorist groups, combating extremist activities, as well as securing maritime shipping lines, and the Gulf of Aden and Bab Al-Mandab Strait, and preventing smuggling and exporting chaos across components and people.
We salute the steadfastness of our valiant southern forces, which have proven to be the strongholds of the south. We salute them and cherish their steadfastness, their bravery and heroism, we salute them while they are now stationed on various fronts, and we salute the security sectors that are making great efforts in securing the capital Aden and the governorates of the south.
We also salute the sons of our great southern people along the southern governorates, and we mention in particular their massive mass stands in Hadramout, Abyan, Lahj, Al-Mahrah, and Socotra, which support the goals of the Southern Transitional Council, stressing that we are always beside our great southern people carrying their noble national aspirations and goals that cannot be undone.
