STC Secretariat Congratulates People of the South on 7th Anniversary of AHD and the Council's Founding


The General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday at its headquarters in the capital, Aden, chaired by Mr. Fadhl Mohammed Al-Gaadi, member of the STC's Presidium and Secretary-General of the General Secretariat.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Secretariat extended its congratulations to President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, the people of the South, and its armed forces on the seventh anniversary of the Aden Historic Declaration (AHD) and the founding of the STC, emphasizing the greatness of this national achievement, which represented an important turning point in the unrelenting struggle of the people of the South to regain their sovereignty and achieve their supreme goals.

Similarly, the Secretariat congratulated the workers of the South on the occasion of International Workers' Day, May 1, in appreciation of their tireless efforts and incessant giving in various fields and their vital role in building and developing the homeland.

Furthermore, the meeting studied a report on the performance of departments of the Secretariat and local leadership executive bodies (LLEB) in the governorates for the first quarter of 2024, submitted by the organizational department. The report included a detailed presentation of the activities and programs that have been implemented during the past period, within the framework of the Secretariat's action plan aimed at achieving the goals of the STC and the aspirations of the people of the South.

Likewise, the meeting discussed the report on the work discipline of the Secretariat's staff for the month of April, submitted by the administrative and financial department, and stressed the importance of adhering to the systems and regulations governing work and raising the level of job performance.

During its meeting, the Secretariat focused on a range of political and economic topics and issues taking place in the governorates of the South and presented suggestions that can lead to boosting and upgrading the workflow.

The meeting reviewed the weekly activity report of the departments of the Secretariat, being briefed on the workflow and achievements during the past week, in addition to reviewing and approving the minutes of its previous meeting.
