President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zoubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), was briefed on Wednesday by Mr. Saeed Saadan, Head of the Institutional Development Commission (IDC) of the STC, on the workflow, plans, and programs for the upcoming period.
During the meeting, which was attended by members of the Commission, the President listened to a detailed explanation of the institutional diagnosis report, prepared by the IDC, on the performance of the central bodies in the STC for the year 2023, which includes a comprehensive analysis supported by figures and percentages on the performance of each body and its staff, in addition to the criteria and foundations that have been worked out during the preparation of the diagnosis.
Likewise, President Al-Zubaidi was given a briefing by Mr. Saeed Saadan and members of the IDC on the draft general plan of the STC's work for the year 2024, which includes the overall orientations for the work of the Council’s central bodies and their executive mechanisms, before submitting it to the STC's Presidium for discussion and approval.
In the same context, the President praised the work of the IDC and its efforts, pointing out that this reflects the specialized capabilities and competencies contained within the IDC.
The President highlighted that the work of the IDC is of high importance due to the nature of the tasks it undertakes in providing real indicators of the performance of the bodies and their staff and measuring the type of activities they implement, their effectiveness, impact, and level of achievement of the general objectives of the STC.
At the end of the meeting, the President directed the Commission’s staff to pay field visits to all central bodies, conduct a complete survey within the framework of their tasks and specialization, and submit periodic reports on the results and recommendations to upgrade and raise the level of work and polish up the capabilities and skills of the human resources.
